Roy George is an ordained minister, author, leadership and discipleship speaker, and retired U.S. Army Special Operations military leader whose message was forged through more than two decades of military service and ministry, as well as over 20 years living in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, a community deeply affected by violent crime and gang activity, along with his own experiences of personal failure, restoration, and faith.

Today, Roy speaks to people wrestling with pain, uncertainty, identity, purpose, and the question of what God is doing in the difficult seasons of their lives. His ministry centers on five messages:

1. From Brokenness to Purpose
Discover how God can redeem painful seasons, failures, and unexpected detours and use them to prepare us for purpose.

2. The War Behind Your Calling
Recognize the spiritual resistance, testing, temptation, and hidden battles that can accompany obedience to a God-given calling.

3. Kingdom Identity
Break free from labels, wounds, failures, and expectations that compete with who God says you are, and learn to live from identity rather than insecurity.

4. Your Wound Can Become a Weapon
Discover how God can transform what you have survived into testimony, compassion, and ministry that strengthens others.

5. Filled With Fire
Move beyond simply knowing you are called and begin walking in Spirit-led obedience, courage, surrender, and Kingdom assignment.

During 21 years of active-duty Special Operations military service, Roy led in demanding environments ranging from combat operations in Iraq to senior military education and leadership development. Long before Special Operations, however, more than two decades in Brownsville taught him to read environments, understand people, recognize danger, and develop the street smarts and interpersonal awareness necessary to navigate a community where violence was a reality. Those instincts matured into leadership skills that later proved invaluable in military and Special Operations environments. His experiences taught him how to lead under pressure, navigate adversity, and remain mission-focused when circumstances become uncertain. But some of the most important battles Roy faced were not on a battlefield. They were battles of identity, brokenness, calling, character, and obedience.

Those experiences now shape a ministry centered on helping people discover what God can do with the parts of their stories they thought disqualified them. Roy has a particular heart for developing leaders, strengthening disciples, and reaching those navigating adversity, including military members, veterans, and first responders.

Through biblical teaching, personal testimony, and practical application, Roy connects timeless biblical truth to real-world struggles involving leadership, character, suffering, purpose, and faith. Known as a bridge builder, he communicates across diverse audiences without compromising his biblical convictions.

Whether speaking to churches, conferences, men’s ministries, prisons and detention centers, leadership gatherings, or military, veteran, and first responder communities, Roy’s goal is not simply to inspire an audience, but to challenge people toward transformation and practical application.

Roy is the founder of Roy George Speaks™ and Walking in the Spirit™ | WITS Community, and author of Built for the Storm and The War Behind the Calling.

His message is simple:

God never wastes brokenness, and what tried to bury your purpose may become part of how God prepares you to carry it.
