Nate Roten is the Head Pastor of Ashe Alliance Church. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BA in Construction Technology and an MA in Discipleship & Church Ministry. He began his career in 2004 as a Contractor and home builder, then transitioned to Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child in 2011, working in Int’l Logistics. During his time in OCC, he traveled to over 30 countries, training volunteers to present the OCC project to Logistics Partners and Gov’t Agencies. Later, he worked with seven other Samaritan’s Purse offices worldwide to streamline communication and processes.

During his time at Samaritan’s Purse, he also pursued his calling to full-time ministry by returning to seminary, obtaining his ordination, and teaching in his home church at Alliance Bible Fellowship. Throughout the years, he taught in various ministries (ranging from children’s ministry to Wednesday night chapel), was heavily involved in the Life Group ministry, and was eventually elected as a Deacon and then an Elder. In August of 2022, his family answered the call to be the planting family for Ashe Alliance Church, where he has had the pleasure of watching God grow this small church plant of 5 people to now over 140 who call Ashe Alliance home. He lives in the High Country with his beautiful wife and three children.

To complement his pastoral duties, Nate is also growing a training and equipping ministry called Confident Witness, where people worldwide can learn how to study the Bible, learn sound theology, and live a meaningful, purpose-driven life that brings honor to the Lord Jesus Christ.
