Matt Wegert spent 36 years working in Business and Industry managing people, capital budgets, and designing, programming, and maintaining robotic and computerized manufacturing systems before taking an early retirement and morphing into a “Robotics & Automation” instructor at a large big city Career Tech high school – launching young people into that same rewarding career.

Soon to start his 6th year interacting with today’s young adult population as a senior high school instructor, Matt has observed and developed a keen awareness of today’s younger generation’s search for significance, and his public speaking zeroes in specifically on those two things: high school and college age young adults, and God’s loving interest in their search for life’s “purpose” and meaning.

Matt has demonstrated an attractive ability to establish strong relationship “connections” with today’s young adults, and his engaging attractive speaking style only adds to that.

Matt has a Master’s Degree in “Management & Leadership” from Liberty University, and he recently won 2nd place in the Toastmasters International Speech Contest for District 28, which encompasses Toledo and Northwest Ohio as well as Detroit and Southwest Michigan. What’s more, Matt’s college years included significant involvement with The Navigators, an international student campus Christian organization, and that training and exposure changed his life trajectory and care for people in a very positive way.

Matt is an Ohio Boy born and raised, and those roots give him an association, an understanding, and a “calling” to serve high school and college age young adults in the Midwest.

Matt created and periodically contributes to a “Journal Entry” blogging website called historypolicylife.com.
