Author: LISA WATSON Former Atheist Turned Free-Market Education Activist

Not your grandfather’s Christian conservative, former atheist social justice warrior turned free-market education activist Lisa Watson is a walking-talking billboard for why Christian parents must run, NOT walk their kids out of government schools. A victim of the liberal indoctrination that is endemic in American colleges and universities, I succumb to the not-so-subtle suggestions by various professors that Christianity was little more than superstition from man’s unenlightened past. Those same professors routinely challenged the historicity of Jesus and mocked the ‘fairytales’ of the Bible. Having never heard of apologetics, I soon absorbed the idea that materialism was sufficient to explain the universe. I would go on to became an agnostic and then a full-blown atheist. My escapades in liberalism run the gamut. An internship at the university Women’s Center, framed history through the lens of race and sex. My next stop was an internship at the local Planned Parenthood. There I quickly embraced the ‘me-me-me’ culture of feminism and its pro-abortion mantra. After landing on the board of the ACLU, my romance with ‘The Left’ began to blossom. My roles with the organization include: Affiliate Board member, Affirmative Action Officer, Chair of the Racial Justice Task Force, President of the Kansas City chapter and ultimately, a stint on the National Board in New York City. Rounding out my tour of liberalism, I was also a union steward for five years. Without even realizing it, I had gone from a cultural-Christian from Kansas, to a radical Sex-In-The-City obsessed, pro-abortion feminist, with socialist tendencies!

So believe me when I tell you that I was not looking for Jesus. I had never even heard of a ‘divine appointment’. But it turns out that Jesus had one scheduled with me. A divine appointment and my curious nature led me to investigate the scientific evidence for God. True to scripture, “seek and you will find”, (Matt. 7:7) Jesus revealed himself to me. Walking in the footsteps of former-atheist giants like Lee Strobel, C.S. Lewis, Francis Collins and Hugh Ross, forced me to admit that it took more faith to be an atheist than to acknowledge that Jesus IS who he claims to be. I was later reminded of that old adage, “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem”. I confessed that, ‘I was part of the problem’. I was living under a false narrative where people can march, and protest, and litigate their way into prosperity. I had somehow accepted the myth that, ‘it takes a government to raise a child’. Well, now I know that “It Takes A Church To Raise A Child!” Having mastered the tools and language of the enemy, I decided to use my powers for good (smiley face).

My testimonial, “The Great Unravelling” is a cautionary tale of my journey through “The Left”. Since escaping ‘the lies of The LEFT’, my mission-field is The Church. it is my calling to facilitate the “Wake-Up Call” required to save America’s children ‘the school-to-atheism’ pipeline.
