For the past 50 years, I have managed a successful real estate appraisal practice in Western Colorado, focusing on resort development properties, mountain ranches, commercial real estate, and litigation-related assignments. I have served in leadership with the Appraisal Institute, ranging from the Colorado chapter to the national board of directors. I also been an instructor for the Appraisal Institute and have developed and taught appraisal classes for professional organizations and universities. My real teaching passion, though, has always centered on my Christian faith and my love of the scriptures. I preached my first sermon when I was a teenager and continued filling pulpits and teaching Christian seminars for all of my adult life.

I have a particular affinity for teaching about grace, bringing faith into the workplace, embracing the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, and prevailing through adversity. Regarding the last of those topics, I wrote a book entitled Celebrating Weakness and am in the early stages of a follow-up tentatively called Celebrating Storms. I also am nearing completion on a book entitled Fragrance in the Marketplace that focuses on faith in the in the workplace.

I am winding down my appraisal career and looking to share my love of the Savior and His word with His church. I also want to encourage my brothers and sisters to see that, whether they are home stewards or corporate CEO’s, they also are called to be ambassadors for the kingdom.
