BIO:

He was born on March 13, 1953 in Akron Ohio. He was diagnosed as a slow learner and placed into special education classes in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio schools. He was diagnoses in 1965 and 1968 with a low IQ and speech impairment, and was stated that when he spoke under pressured he spoke as if he had marbles in his mouth. After learning how to speak slowly, now he is calmer and understandable when he speaks.

He was told that since he has an speech impairment that others will have a hard time to understand him when he speaks, and since he has a low IQ he was even told that the only kind of work he would be able to do would be as an assembler in a factory.

With being put into a “Tiny Box” in his life, he has broken out of the tiny boxes in his life.

Accomplishments:

1998- First time learned how to type at Cuyahoga Falls High school

1998-1999- First learned how to do Data entry work at Coleman Employment Services in Akron Ohio successfully completed

1999- In October 199- He was hired at Coleman Data Solutions in Akron Ohio as a data entry technician. He is still employed there today as a successful data entry technician, scanner operator and mail room assistant.

2005- (4/2005) First article published in Sharing Ideas Magazine

2006- (4/2006) Second article published in Toastmasters Magazine

2007 - Third published in Sharing Ideas Magazine (Spring of 2007)

He speaks about Tiny Boxes of yours and mine in others lives, and also about disabilities and learning disabilities.
