BIO:

I have been a Christian since 1979 and began preaching almost immediately. I was raised in a church that had all of the children memorize scripture, learn bible stories, attend educational conferences and participate in various ministries within the church. I remember so vividly being called as a child in a way that still impacts me even to this day! As I assumed my position in the kingdom of heaven I took my calling very seriously. Currently I function as an ordained Associate Pastor of one of the largest ministries in my area with a membership of over 2,000. Over the years I have been responsible for developing and overseeing our counseling department. For 8 years I was responsible for training our more than 60 teachers and ministers by hosting monthly teacher/minister training workshops. I hosted a local Christian telecast, taking live calls over the air and interviewing special guests share their testimonies and preach the word of God. Currently I serve as Youth Pastor, overseeing 30 adult leaders. The road that I’ve traveled has been a rough one to say the least. But I have learned much and am very passionate about sharing what I have learned to hopefully help others through the rough places in their lives.

As an infant Van was diagnosed with a very serious skin condition that dramatically altered his lifestyle, relationships and self-esteem. Struggling through feelings of loneliness, thoughts of suicide and rejection by his peers, life seemed unfair and impossible. As Van grew older and his condition grew worse, the only medication that could provide any relief at all eventually caused him to go blind. Eventually Van found himself sleeping in the back seat of his car in a sleeping bag in various parking lots all over town. Being told by those closest to him that he would never succeed in life he decided to rise to the challenge.

Van Waller has regained his sight in more ways than one. Not only is he able to see now but he is showing others how they too can overcome what seem like impossible odds. Overcoming tremendous obstacles in the course of his own life, Van has gained some unique and powerful insights that can forever change the way you think, live and feel about yourself.
