BIO:
Don Veinot is a
co-founder of Midwest Christian Outreach, Inc., a national
apologetics ministry and mission to new religious movements
based in Lombard, IL. He, and his wife, Joy, have been involved
in discernment ministry as missionaries to New Religious
Movements since 1987.
He is a broadcast
veteran and frequent guest on Christian and secular radio and
television programming including, The Dick Staub Show; Issues,
Etc.; Mark Elfstrand, WMBI Chicago; the 700 Club, Fox News
Chicago, WISH TV and WTHR TV Indianapolis. Don and Joy hosted
the weekly radio program “Defend the Faith” in Chicago for
several years. He has also been interviewed by a variety of
print media including Christianity Today magazine and Campus
Life magazine.
They are staff
researchers and writers for the Midwest Outreach Journal as well
as authoring articles for other publications including the CRI
Journal, PFO Quarterly Journal, and Campus Life Magazine. He is
also one of the co-authors of the book “A Matter of Basic
Principles: Bill Gothard and the Christian Life.” Don was
ordained to the ministry by West Suburban Community Church of
Lombard, IL. He had the unique opportunity of having the
ordination ceremony take place at the Garden of Gethsemane in
Jerusalem, Israel.
Don travels
nationally to speak extensively on the issues of cults, false
religious movements, cultural apologetics and defense of the
Christian faith. Don and his wife Joy make their home in
Lombard, IL. They have two grown children and two grandsons.
