BIO:
Wes has spent 15
years in full time youth ministry in Missouri, Texas, Ohio, and
Kentucky. He has spoken in numerous settings with teenagers,
college students, and adults. He has led retreats, mission
trips, and has been a conference speaker, as well as preaching
in various church services many times. One of Wes’s goals in
life is to be the oldest person in youth ministry ever (although
he’s not even close yet).
Wes has developed a number of exciting, relevant series for
youth that can be adapted to college students and young adults,
and to churches in general. These include:
> 7 Deadly Sins of a Youth Group
> Humongous Choices (making the right ones)
> Created to Relate (God’s design for relationships)
> Sometimes Life Stinks (dealing with disappointment)
> SURVIVOR Temptation (outlive, outpray, outlast)
Wes is married to an incredible wife, Cindy, and has two sons,
Austin and Spencer. They also have an “adopted” son, Pete, from
Thailand.
Wes has a B.S. in Business Administration from Murray State
University in Kentucky. He earned his master’s degree in
Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and is currently working on his
doctorate in education and leadership (Ed.D.) from Southern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
