> 1 in 4 women have either already or will experience some form of sexual assault in their lifetime

> 80% of persons who are assaulted are assaulted by someone that they know

For over ten years, Tonya Genison Prince has been an encourager of men, women and children who have suffered, unspeakable trauma. Her service to God and his people has included:

> Counseling women in a battered women’s shelter, as well as those seeking protection from the justice system.

> Facilitating atmospheres for women to empower one another through support groups in the community and the city jail populations

> Educating youth, police officers, congregations, church leaders, judges, and anyone who might be in a position to help others about the dynamics of sexual assault and domestic violence

> Researching the experiences of sexual assault victims

Tonya has never forgotten the first time that she saw a speaker live and in person give voice to the same strongholds that enslaved her. Finally she could feel God's presence, understanding, compassion and will for her life through the vessel of another person.

She will share important and life saving knowledge with parents, friends, and leaders of ministries serving prisons, youth, women and men. She will share what survivors wish that the people serving them knew. Speaking in the fluent language of conquerors, she will spread hope, love, compassion and knowledge.

She has come this far by faith. Most her childhood was spent in the dark fog of childhood sexual abuse leading to a young adulthood filled with major depression, self-hatred, disability and a relationship with God that was characterized more by doubting questions than answers.
