On March 21, 1996, Connie’s entire life changed—at the age of
40—she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This life-changing
event was a wake-up call—life is short! We only have the present
moment to enjoy the gifts of today. Her journey through
treatment and subsequent recovery taught her what is truly
important in life. Through her pain, she discovered her passion.
She has been inspiring audiences throughout the country with her
love of life, contagious sense of humor, and strongly rooted
faith.
One of Connie’s greatest passions is photography, which aided in
her recovery from cancer. Her line of personalized photographic
greeting cards, Cards by Connie, is sold at her speaking
engagements.

Trading Ashes for Roses - Isaiah 61:3
The day Connie was diagnosed with breast cancer, her life was
changed forever. She shares how this painful journey led her
from the depths of despair into a renewed faith in God's
unfailing love. She traded ashes for roses and received a gift
totally unexpected…learning to live in the present moment! The
Lord gave her a “garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.”
She shares how each of us, no matter what our circumstances, can
find a renewed joy for living and experience the abundant life.
