BIO:
Dr. David Orrison
has been a pastor for nearly 30 years and is now the Executive
Director of Grace for the Heart, a ministry dedicated to
proclaiming the sufficiency of Jesus Christ for all aspects of
the Christian life. David has served in the Evangelical Free
Church and in the United Presbyterian Church. He holds a Ph. D.
in Theology from Trinity Seminary.
David has unique insights into the struggles of what he calls
“performance spirituality”. He has worked extensively with
people who are unsure of their relationship with Jesus because
of the burden of legalism and the hopelessness of a “works-based
Christian walk”. There is a message of hope and joy, acceptance
and peace, in the Scriptures for those who are willing to allow
Jesus to be the one Lord of their life. Every heart longs for
that which can only be found in the grace of God through Jesus.
This is the primary message Dr. Orrison would like to bring to
you and your organization. You can learn more about this message
from the website of Grace for the Heart at
www.gracefortheheart.com. On that site you will also find a
listing of various seminars available. Most are flexible in
length and level of group participation. Several could be used
together for a series of meetings.
Dr. Orrison is available for family groups, men’s or women’s
organizations, “deeper life” conferences, retreats, church
meetings, leadership training, and more. He can also bring
discussion format workshops on current theological issues. For
the past few years he has focused on a study of the kenosis
issue in Christology and has extensively studied the problem of
narcissism in relationships and in the church.
David Orrison has lived in Loveland, CO for over 20 years and is
happily married to Alice. They have eight sons.
