INFORMATION ON TERRY E. MOFFITT
Terry Moffitt played basketball and received his BA in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of North Carolina and his doctorate from Jacksonville Theological Seminary.
Terry served as the High School Principal at Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina for eight years. WCA is the largest Wesleyan school in the world. A classroom teacher for twelve years, Terry has taught Government, Understanding the Times, Economics, World and American History, and Physics. Terry was elected to the High Point City Council in 1989, and served for three years as a High Point City Councilman. During that time he wrote, and passed, North Carolina’s first Adult Entertainment Ordinance containing licensing provisions. Since that time the ordinance has been used in more than 80 cities across the country to control sexually oriented businesses. In 1993, Terry was part of a team, which went to Russia, at the request of the Russian Government, to teach Russian teachers and administrators how to implement a course in Biblical Morals and Ethics in their public schools and colleges. Since that time, over 80 million Russian students have taken the course. In December 1994, the House Committee on Education and Labor enlisted him to help establish and prioritize the education agenda of the 104th Congress. Terry served as the East Region Political & Development Director for the Alan Keyes Presidential Campaign in 1995. During 1997 Terry spent time in Croatia and Bosnia visiting orphanages and refugee camps in the aftermath of the war in Bosnia. Terry is also Chairman of the Board for the Family Policy Network and serves as a Board member of his local church. In 1999 Cambridge, England’s International Biographical Center named him as one of the “2000 Outstanding Religious Personalities of the 20th Century in the areas of Education and Legal/Legislative Affairs.” He has also been named to "Who's Who Worldwide," “Who’s Who Among Businesses and Executives,” "Who's Who in American Education," and "Who's Who Among America's Educators."
Terry is the founder and President of The TCMI Group, which specializes in Sports and Entertainment Marketing, ministry and school planning and design, marketing, public relations, strategic planning, fundraising and corporate sponsorship activities. Since its formation in 1995 the TCMI Group has worked with clients in 44 states and 8 countries. TCMI's client list includes race teams, schools, corporations, non-profits, ministries, political groups and entertainment entities in the U.S. and overseas. Terry is also in demand as speaker, addressing 150-200 groups per year on a variety of topics.
Terry has appeared on numerous national and regional television and radio shows as an expert in a wide variety of areas. He received an Angel Award in 1995 for Inspirational Programming and has written for publications such as Charisma Magazine, The Pathfinder and The Carolina Christian News. Terry is also an Adjunct Professor of School Law in the graduate program at Columbia International University and teaches the Political Action major each summer at the Summit at Bryan College.
Terry resides in High Point, North Carolina with his wife Cindy and his daughter Holly.
