BIO:
II am available
for private counseling, life coaching, workshops, retreats and
pulpit supply. One of my strengths is making the Bible
practical. Just as a carpenter needs a good set of tools to get
the job done, Christians need a good "set of tools to get the
job done” for living the Christian life. So my workshops focus
on the practical -- taking the truths of the Bible and applying
them to day-to-day life situations and problems.
I use lessons gleaned from my own struggles and victories and 25
years of ministry. I work best in small, informal settings
because I enjoy interacting with my audience. Below is a list of
the workshops I offer. If you have a topic in mind that’s not on
the list I can create a workshop that’s fine-tuned for your
needs.
Secrets of Long-term Marriages; How To Be An Awesome Dad; Coffee
Cup Counseling; Loss, Grief, and Recovery; Freedom and
Forgiveness; Disaster and Crisis Counseling; Growing a Small
Group Ministry; Growing Kids Who Turn Out Right; Conflict
Resolution; Discovering God’s Will For Your Life; Guilt, Grace
and Legalism.
My Most Popular Workshop: Coffee Cup Counseling. This workshop
teaches people the skills they need to help friends or family,
or to counsel in a ministry setting. It outlines biblical steps
for people who are struggling with the tough issues of life.
I graduated from Western Conservative Baptist Seminary in
Portland, Oregon. I’m an ordained Baptist minister. Madeline and
I have been married for 33 years. We’ve ministered in
California, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Washington and Colorado. |
