BIO:

John Covell has been a Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor for singles, young adults and GenX since 1988. His sharp wit and "everyday language" make God's word accessible to everyone, regardless of their spiritual experience.

John is also a worship leader and professional musician. He is gifted at leading authentic worship using contemporary worship songs and his own originals. This is particularly effective when he is both speaking and leading worship, creating a seamless flow between music and message.

"No matter what I'm doing my goal is always to meet people wherever they're at on their spiritual journey and help them to grow from there as followers of Jesus."

John has been married to Joy since 1985 and has two teenagers. He lives in Phoenix, AZ, serving Echo Mountain Church as Senior Pastor, playing music and practicing Shotokan Karate.
