BIO:
Rev. Justin Cohen
was born and raised in a multi cultural neighborhood of
Philadelphia, PA. Raised in the Catholic denomination, he
attended private Christian grade school and high school. Pastor
Cohen received the call to ministry in a vision at the age of
11, but rejected it throughout his teen years of rebellion. At
the age of 18, he left Philadelphia temporarily, enlisting in
the United States Navy as an Inventory Manager, determined to
pursue a career in business.
During a crisis period in his life, Rev. Cohen received his
PERSONAL salvation, receiving Jesus Christ as his Savior.
Pastor Cohen finally obeyed the call of God to ministry while
living in Jacksonville, FL. Upon successful ministerial
internship and graduation from Jacksonville Theological Seminary
in 1995, he returned to Philadelphia and ministered as an Urban
Missionary assisting several Assembly of God ministries and
founding the Master’s Commission Bible Institute.
He is married to his lovely wife, Latoya who is originally from
St. Mary, Jamaica. She has a heart to see women set free and
children saved. Latoya is a 2003 graduate of Valley Forge
Christian College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and
a Standard Teacher Diploma from the Evangelical Training
Association. Latoya is currently employed full time as a teacher
in a private Christian school, teaching Kindergarten. She also
serves in the ministry with Pastor Cohen as the Executive
Administrator.
In 2002, He and his wife founded World Harvest International and
began conducting evangelism and outreach ministries in the inner
city. With a heart for community ministry, Rev. Cohen is a
member of the Philadelphia Police Clergy, the Past President of
the multi-cultural Frankford Ministerium, and a member of the
Mayor’s Faith Based Advisory Committee.
Rev. Cohen is a 2005 graduate of the Carolina University of
Theology, earning a Th.M. degree with a specialization in
Ecclesiology.
In 2004, Rev. Cohen joined and affiliated his ministries under
the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship and has experienced
tremendous blessings ever since. Rev. Cohen currently serves as
the Eastern District Christian Education Director and was
recently appointed as State Director of Elders and Ministers.
Rev. Cohen’s God given mandate is to be a pastoral and teaching
resource who develops individuals spiritually and practically,
empowering them to achieve their life goals through Bible study,
counseling, mentoring, educational resources, and encouraging
relationships.
