BIO:
Jesus Christ said
in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, so that in me you
may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take
heart! I have overcome the world."
I have known trouble, hardship and oppression in the form of
mental illness since my teenage years but I testify to the
goodness, mercy and compassion of a loving God. He has delivered
me from such a deadly peril and on him I have set my hope that
he will continue to deliver me.
Like the prophet Isaiah, I now believe, "The Sovereign Lord has
given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains
the weary." (Isaiah 50:4)
I have the prophet Jeremiah's conviction when he said, "But if I
say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," his
word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I
am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot." (Jeremiah 20:9)
And I believe my calling is spelt out in Acts 20:24 where Paul
said, "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only
I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has
given me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace."
I would love to share with you my story of how God has rescued
me from the dark, lonely life of anxiety and schizophrenia and
transformed me into a seeker of God, a confident young leader in
the church and a Federal Government officer. |
