BIO:
Wife, mother,
grandmother, caterer, home builder, politician, Mentor Mom: all
are descriptive of Gerry Snyder Blumberg. Life was planned out
and full speed ahead … but God! A broken marriage after 25 years
led Gerry to really seek the face of God and come to know Him
intimately even though active church involvement had been her
life since accepting Him at age 9. Failure was not part of her
vocabulary but God brought her to the end of herself during this
crisis and showed her how to really live with Him as her comfort
and guide.
Passionate about life and children, Gerry became involved in the
political arena for 20 years in the hopes of making a
difference. However, becoming a Mentor Mom in MOPS showed her
where her impact might make the biggest difference – in the
lives of young moms and their children. For six years her
influence in Mops consisted of teaching, encouraging, and just
being available. During that time, she became Nana to her own
three granddaughters. But the most amazing event was after 10
years of single life, God brought a man over the Internet and
they were married.
In a world of instant answers, crisis solved in 60 minutes, and
microwave dinners, waiting has become a lost art. God’s command
to wait has challenged Gerry and her desire is to share how God
is teaching her the proper response in this challenging area.
