BIO:
Barbara Benton is
a gifted Bible teacher who brings the Word of God alive for all
who hear. Her ability to teach Scripture in a way that is
relevant to everyday life has opened many doors nationally and
internationally for her to speak at seminars, retreats, and
churches. She is an in-depth Bible teacher with a passionate and
often humorous approach.
As a child Barbara Benton was reared in
an environment of poverty, abuse, and alcoholism. These things
greatly affected her view of life and she found herself walking
in severe depression as a teenager. At the age of 17, life began
to take on new meaning as Barbara accepted the love of Jesus
Christ as Savior. Over time, God has truly changed her into a
new creation and overcomer. She is a living example of how God
can “turn mourning into dancing” and fill one’s heart with joy.
Having faced
abuse, disappointment in life, and a son with cancer, she knows
first hand what trials are all about. Yet, she offers hope and
encouragement to those who have been abused or greatly
disappointed in life. Barbara will make you laugh and make you
cry, but most of all she will leave you encouraged and assured
that God is working in the lives of people. She has served as a
worship leader, church staff member, Bible teacher, and seminar
speaker.
Barbara Benton
presently resides in Helena, AL with her husband, the Rev.
